2-day conference review: over 400 attendees live. Great feedback received. No cost to CSAI. Marie found sponsors for 8k payment to Beyond Clean, and for the speakers. Yay!
Tara’s position: Krystal Parrish unanimously approved to fill secretary role. Fall Seminar: Steris offered to sponsor and present

▪ Will have a focus on prep & pack, sterility maintenance, and navigating sterility failures, wet loads, etc.
Future forward:
Bylaw review of officer term lengths. Discuss Future recruiting for officers
o Discussed option of extending the president role to 2 years. Would need to figure out what the pres-elect and past-pres role would entail including duration.
o Other board members willing to step aside if there are interested people, however without the in-person seminars, recruiting is very challenging. As such, transition Date will be 10/23/21
Ed has been emailed with the confirmation of date and session
to virtual education offerings makes sense during this challenging time of covid surges, vacancy rates within the board members dept’s.
o The feedback from the members is they have really liked what we have offered for education. The quarterly approach seems to be an effective way to offer education and going down from 7.5 CEs to 6 is more manageable when watching in a webinar.
o Survey feedback revealed membership request to resume in person seminars. Board discussion revealed concerns with hospital budgets and vacancy rates that could create attendance concerns.
o In addition, if in-person education occurred, the board will need to decide on masking protocols and find a location.
o Will plan to offer quarterly education sessions. Will evaluate in May 2022 if CSAI will offer an in person seminar in the late summer.
National Conference- cancelled for 2021
Discuss 2022 conferences and virtual seminar vs. in-person format. Virtual for now, TBD for summer.
Open agenda:
Marie was appointed to the IAHCSMM Advocacy council. She will have one of the 5 regions of the United States. Time commitment = 1 hour per month for a council meeting.
